A special World Expo Passport has been produced for Chinese visitors attending the Milan World Expo, which runs from May to October next year.
The official souvenir passport was created through collaboration with the China-Italy Association and China Corporate United Pavilion (CCUP) – a joint collaboration between China’s Government and Industry.
One of the main functions of the passport is to enable Chinese visitors to collect Expo commemorative stamps. Passport holders can get a unique pavilion specific commemorative stamp by showing the passport during visits to each pavilion at the Expo.
A similar passport system was introduced with great success by China at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. These 2010 souvenir passports have already become highly sought after collector’s items by Chinese citizens.
The Milano Passport incorporates information on Italy, a map of the Expo site along with an explanation of the history of World Expositions and the specific 2015 Expo themes of “Feeding the Planet” and “Energy for Life”. These themes are especially important and relevant for China with its needs for food security and a growing focus on high quality produce.
There are a range of special discounts and benefits available to passport holders with more information available at www.expo2015.org.
CHINA READY together with some of China’s major organizations are strong supporters of the Milano Passport initiative.
CHINA READY® branding is prominent in the passport with Chinese travelers reminded to look for the “Chinese Welcome” sign which identifies accredited Italian and European organizations and businesses via the UNIONPAY and CHINA READY official global Trade Marks.
