The debate and conjecture as to who would be awarded primary ticket selling rights in China for next year’s World Exposition to be held in Milan, Italy is over. An announcement made today reveals that China Corporate United Pavilion (CCUP) – a joint collaboration between China’s Government and Industry – has secured these highly sought-after rights.
CCUP will work closely with major travel agencies and other aligned organizations for the sale and distribution of Expo entry tickets. This includes the development of travel packages and other initiatives designed to provide a quality experience for Chinese visitors to the Expo.
One such initiative is a partnership with the global independent quality service certification program CHINA READY.
This program guarantees Chinese travelers that the businesses and organizations in Italy and Europe accredited by CHINA READY and booked by CCUP’s authorized Chinese travel agents have met the strict and professional requirements of the program.
This guarantees that accredited Italian and European providers have been properly trained with a pre-determined level of Chinese cultural awareness, and that they will treat Chinese Expo travelers with respect and understanding.
The program also addresses safety, best business practice, Chinese consumer protection and a warranty that the certified business is operating according to the laws relevant to their country.
CCUP will recognize and promote tourism product and service providers who successfully complete CHINA READY Training and Quality Service Accreditation™ during the Milan Expo period and will recommend them direct to travel agencies and independent visitors to the Expo.
CCUP expect more than 1 million Chinese people will visit the Expo between May and October next year. Ensuring they enjoy a safe and happy travel experience is a key priority for CCUP and China’s travel and tourism industry.
