It has been an action packed year in Australia for CHINA READY with the official announcement in Canberra today of the Australian Government’s endorsement of the independent global CHINA READY Quality Service Certification Program®.
This endorsement grants CHINA READY the right to automatically award Australian national tourism quality accreditation to CHINA READY & ACCREDITED® businesses.
The timing of the announcement coincided with the Prime Minister’s 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebration of Bilateral Relations to which the CHINA READY Global Executive Chairman Mr Garry Crockett, and CEO Ms Julia (Ting Ting) Gong were invited.
The endorsement announcement was made earlier in the day by Minister for Resources and Energy and Minister for Tourism, Hon. Mr Martin Ferguson AM MP, at the China Tourism Industry Forum.
The Tourism Forum was attended by high level representatives from China and Australia and built on the successful 2011 Australia-China Tourism Summit through the development of a deeper understanding of bilateral tourism issues. This greater understanding will help ensure Australian industry is well placed to deliver consistent, culturally relevant, high quality products for Chinese visitors.
“Global competition to attract Chinese visitors is fierce and intensifying, meaning government and industry must ensure Australia caters to this fast growing market,” said Mr Ferguson….
“CHINA READY & ACCREDITED® has been endorsed by the national tourism accreditation framework… and this will give businesses they accredit the opportunity to use the TQUAL Tick, the national symbol of tourism quality.” he continued.
The awarding of a TQUAL Master Licence to CHINA READY by the Government follows approval of the CHINA READY Program® at the beginning of the year by the Australian Government’s Competition and Consumer Commission.
